Vive le Français! This page is dedicated to the promotion of the French language itself.

 ilovefrench.co.nz

I Love French is a website set up by the French Embassy in Wellington.  This site showcases the place that France and the French language hold in the hearts of New Zealanders : 21 New Zealanders, 8 of them living in France, explain in detail the reasons for their love of things French in film segments 1.5 to 2 min in length. With foreign languages, and French in particular, becoming an integral part of the New Zealand Curriculum, their contribution is thus essential to enrich the debate on foreign languages. And each film presents convincing arguments to teachers and school leaders who offer or are considering offering French courses in schools.

Dominique Suquet (Attaché Culturel, Ambassade de France NZ) has made available a fantastic presentation. Initially created by his colleages (Ambassade de France USA), it is adapted for a New Zealand audience and clearly exposes the case for Learning French: French is international, French is easy. Dowload the PPT below to show at Parents Evenings, Open Days and to Principals and Boards of Trustees.
