First Class! Learning Languages DVD yrs 5-9

First Class! is a DVD commissionned by the Ministry of Education (2010), for teachers and students beginning to learn a language together. French is one of the languages featured.  The resources on the DVD are based on the Ellis' and Intercultural Language Learning Principles.  While it will be supplied to schools teaching years 7 and 8, primary and secondary teachers can order of copy from this the Chair website (First Class! Oui! Learning Languages Series

The Learning Languages Series (LLS) provides multi-media materials designed for teachers and students who are new to language learning. The Oui! series for French is designed for years 7 and 8 students and supports Levels 1 and 2 achievement objectives in the curriculum .
The Oui! course comprises an introductory unit and 20 units of work, each with a distinct theme and specific learning outcomes. Each unit of work includes three lessons. The course has been designed to run for 20 weeks.
The accompanying website offers an introduction section, a learning activities and a tips for teachers section.
