Supporting Materials and Resources for Level 1 Internal Assessments

Developed and shared by teachers of French from Dec. 2010 for the implementation of:

1.2 AS 90879 Give a Spoken Presentation
1.3 AS 90880 Interact Using Spoken French
1.5 AS 90882 Write a Variety of Text Types in French

Exemples of 1.2

1- Sue Pommarède (Rosehill College) shares the 1.2 task she has put together for her students on the topic A Future Holiday in France. Sue has also shared the 1.2 feedback form she is using with the new criteria.

2- Julia Brown (Dilworth School) has sent the 1.2 task she has put together for her students on the theme A Region of France.
New May 2011: Julia has also shared a 1.2 "Les Vacances en Nouvelle Zélande"
Both include the assessment schedules Julia uses.

1- Sue Pommarède (Rosehill College) is sharing the 2011 1.3 task she has put together for her students.

2- Catherine Hill (Wellington High School) is sharing the Conversation Stations she has used in 2011.

1- Anne Marie Bancks (Hastings Girls' High School) shares the information she gives to her students at the beginning of the course to support their work towards the standard.

2- Julia Brown (Dilworth College) shares an other version of the same task, adapted from TKI,  which too has been critiqued extensively.

3- Sue Pommarède (Rosehill College) shares the information she gives her students, including a description of text types and a feedback and reflection form.

4- Catherine Hill (Wellington High School) shares the writing portfolio instructions she has given her students in 2011.

Suggested Topics for 1.3

Jenny Field (Craighead Diocesan) has posted two suggested scenarios for 1.3 assessments. There is one with a scenario for the 'Restaurant and Dining out' theme  (A Special Night out with the Crowd) and the other for "Health" (Feeling Unwell) . Both have been very successful with her students. The "Feeling Unwell" topic was moderated in 2007 and met the requirements! Jenny has not included the full task, only the scenario.
